It's Denny's, so I'm not expecting to have a five star dining experience. They charge $2.50 (or somewhere around there) to substitute regular toast with french toast, I think that is a bit much, and mine was burnt and tough, twice. Had the issue been corrected the first time, I would have assumed it was an accident. But the second time it wasn't burnt, but it was very tough. Any line cook who has to make it a few times knows if you flip it more than once it toughens. My toast must have been flipped over and over to be as rubbery as it was. I didn't even mention it by the second time . The server was attentive until we were ready to go. We sat there for a good ten minutes waiting for her to return with our check, but she was great up until then, brought us plenty of everything and forgot nothing. Everything else was nothing short of a standard Denny's experience.
