This tavern was great to visit. A ton of history displayed there. Even though the tavern was partially burnt in 1998, they have done their best to ensure that everything salvageable remained. Price is about $10-$20 an entree, but the food was delicious. They have a massive selection of drinks at the bar. As well as many things on the menu to choose from. The wait staff was professional but personal, and seemed to love to tell stories about the tavern and inn. My husband researched the place, and found out it is considered haunted by Jesse James. But there is no creepiness factors here, just a lot of rooted history in a historical town. The town instelf is gorgeous and looks super quaint with all of the Christmas decorations.
The food is awesome but a bit pricey. The restaurant is a nice old building that could write a book if it could talk. My portions were a bit small, if I was more hungry it would have been a problem.
The place is very rustic inside, old time feeling. Food is nothing special. Had the pulled pork sandwich with fries. Fries were soft and a little bit soggy.
Great Food
