Pasches Seafood Kitchen
11081 E Michigan Ave, Battle Creek, MI 49014, United States

Rarely do I find a good cajun restaurant in my area. We came across Pasche's on our way home from the casino. I had sautéed crawfish that were to die for! My friend had smelt. Even though that isn't cajun, it requires talking about. The portion was huge, and was fantastic. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. Staff was very nice.. Can't wait to go back to try some of the other cajun fare on the menu.

Review №2

Contrary to being a seafood place they have an EXCELLENT vegan menu! From sandwiches to vegan seafood! Their vegan potato skins are a must try and the fried pickles are delicious!

Review №3

I was looking forward to eating here because they have a plant based menu with many vegan options. We arrived shortly after they opened on a Sunday and waited a while before we finally peaked into the kitchen and found someone to seat us. The fried pickles were good, but the vegan deluxe macaroni and cheese was just okay. The other two people in my group ordered off the regular menu and liked what they ordered. Our waitress was good, but not very friendly.

Review №4

Looked ordinary on the inside.. but the food was very good.. i ordered lobster ravioli and bread pudding , the boys had shrimp po boy and crispy fries and Mahi Mahi over dirty rice .. a gourmet i didnt have to cook for a change.. must go back!!

Review №5

This restaurant is hands down one of the BEST places around! I def recommend the seafood fondue! I replaced the chicken with some shrimp and had some shrimp Alfredo, which was amazing! And for the first time ever having Gator tail I must say that wasnt to bad either!

Review №6

The food was great but the service was terrible. We sat in the bar area and there were two other people there when we came but they left right after we got there so we were the only ones there. Our server was only interested in talking to her co-worker and acted like we were inconveniencing her. I will go back there because the food was great but I won't sit in the bar area. I came in 11-11.

Review №7

Server was quite rude and felt very rushing when placing order. Food did not taste the best. Calamari was extremely chewy.

Review №8

Over all good. Mediun to Large helping of food. Large shrimp are not jumbo shrimp. But its Michigan not Louisiana. Service was excellent. My girlfriends fish was good

Review №9

Food is delicious! Great variety to choose from. Waitress was very friendly and helpful! Love the ambience!

Review №10

LOVE the seafood fondue. May just say no to the white pepper in the garlic mashed potatoes. We weren't fans of them in our meals.

Review №11

We love this place! We are vegan and stop in whenever we are in town. They have a separate plant based menu. The vegan ranch is soooo good! The Cajun fried pickles, the breaded mushrooms and the Mac and cheese are my go to items. My fiancé loves the bbq tempeh salad. The chef even made us our own vegan onion rings that weren't on the menu.

Review №12

Great food and service. 1st time here and very impressed.

Review №13

The food was amazing and the service was great! Well definitely be coming here again

Review №14

The decor was nice the Service was Great but the BBQ sandwich wasn't up to par. Bun was hard on the edges and not enough meat to fill up the small bun. Fries were delicious

Review №15

Froendly service, delicious food, very pleasant atmosphere. Great dining experience! Can't wait to go again.

Review №16

Amazingly good Cajun food in mid Michigan, go figure. Had crab cakes, wife had blackened catfish with etoffe and dirty rice, all was delicious. Service was excellent. Will go back and would recommend.

Review №17

Great food. Very good BBQ.

Review №18

Probably no fault of the restaurant, we had originally wanted the casino buffet for crab legs but we didn't know you had to be 21 to even get in to the buffet. So security directed us to Pasche's as a second choice. Very nice, very quiet place. No crab legs ,but alligator and frog legs were a hit. Prime rib was delicious but sides were not a good match. But desserts made up for what was lacking in the main courses. Wait staff were sweet and attentive to our needs. Prices were a bit high for the quality we had expected. As first time customers we may try again but maybe on our own terms of wanting to go not because we were pointed to another choice. We remain open minded.Thank you.

Review №19

Pretty good. Worth the price.

Review №20

Amazing food and amazing service! The staff was super polite and the food was hot and fresh! Most definitely satisfied and would recommend if you like Cajun food or seafood!

Review №21

Amazing experience at Pashe's. Great service and love the seperate vegan menu that they offer alongside their seafood. The burger was cooked well and tastes great. Good fries and the baked potatos to start were unreal with vegan cheese. The vegan brownie was rich and just enough to split with someone. Will be back and highly recommend!

Review №22

The food was very good & the service. I will visit again while in Michagan.

Review №23

We were pleasantly surprised to see that it was modern and nice inside (the bldg looks older on the outside). The food was good. I had fried shrimp and crawfish and asparagus (not a good choice since it is not in season). My husband had fried oysters and dirty rice. I only gave 4 stars because the food needed to be hotter. For dessert we had Bananas Foster. It was AMAZING - SO GOOD!!

Review №24

Im a truck driver that was passing by and gave this restaurant a try and wow it was extremely delicious and that's coming from a person who has had seafood all over the country definitely a place to try and recommend thank you for the delicious meal!!

Review №25

Best seafood I've had in these parts

Review №26

First time, also won't be the last time! Wonderful service. Great food. A taste of New Orleans clear up in Battle Creek Michigan. My honey and I loved it. Thank you.

Review №27

Delicious!!! We had fresh oysters and we tried the seafood fondue which was ok. The drinks were perfect thanks to Neva. She was our server and bartender. She was super professional and very sweet. We will def return!!

Review №28

If you want seafood its nothing fancy. But it was hot, good and service was nice. I would recommend the crawfish bisque.

Review №29

Blackened catfish heaven! The fried catfish was pretty perfect, too!

Review №30

Amazing food the crab cakes are to die for.

Review №31

Came here after the casino, ordered the fried pickles, potatoe skins...and also ordered the fish chips.Fried pickles and potato skins were really good, definitely recommend them. But DO NOT order the Fish and Chips, they are literally Fish sticks, everywhere else I order fish and chips I get 3-4 meaty pieces of fish, here you will get 6-7 fish sticks.Other than that I'm disappointed that a fish place has one of the worst fish and chips I've ever had in my entire life

Review №32

Alligator tail was awesome. Chicken sandwich was awesome. Fries were awesome. Cream brulee 4/5. Was a bit too burned on top for me.

Review №33

Was looking for a nice Gulf Jumbo Shrimp dinner and it looked like popcorn shrimp very disappointed especially how everyone said the seafood was great don't plan on going back.

Review №34

Everything was great went after our friends recommended together. We all ordered something different so we could try a little more! Service and food really good and something different. Tasty! Definitely will be back

Review №35

Great experience. Good food !

Review №36

Food was awesome! Ordered Porterhouse and Blackened Catfish. Pasano bread came to the table looking like it was smooshed by something. Service was slow.

Review №37

We recently moved to Battle Creek and this has been on our list to try. We finally stopped in last night, and we are so glad we did. Everything we had was wonderful. We started with oysters and calamari, then had the lobster ravioli and blackened Mahi Yvette. Our service was great. Nice environment, we sat in the bar area where they had a musician singing and playing guitar. We will definitely be back! So far one of our favorite places in the area!

Review №38

Very good food..friendly waitresses...prices a little high but over all nice place to take family or business associates..cozy medium size area with bar separation & few tables with bar seating available.

Review №39

Great food, atmosphere and service!

Review №40

Great food and drinks

Review №41

Love the cajun combo

Review №42

Very good!

Review №43

What a find! We were driving through and came upon Pasche's. The food and service was excellent. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating.I would recommend the crab cakes and the Crawfish etouffee. They were both excellent. When we are in the area again, we will definitely stop through again.

Review №44

This is an old fashioned restaurant connected to a motel. Circa 1992 in bad need of an update. We were coming from out of town looking for a seafood restaurant and would not have gone there had we known it was connected to a Quality Inn. It was dark inside at 11:30 a.m. Like an old fashioned supper club. There was one table with 2 people at it when we came in and while we were there 3 more people came in and left before we did. That's a tip off. There were specials on the chalk board in the entry way.I paid $25 for an over cooked dry Halibut. I understand blackened but also know that doesn't mean cooked to dry with crisp edges. My friend ordered swordfish also over cooked and that portion might have been 4oz. She requested mashed potatoes instead of fries. It was a baked potato with shin removed and mashed up. No bread. This was a big mistake but we didn't have time to complain and besides if the cook didn't know how to properly prepare fish, what's the point of sending it back. The bathroom was clean, salad crispy. Good croutons. But for over $50 we won't make the mistake of going there again and neither should anyone else.

Review №45

Great food! Love the Po Boy's and they are very reasonable! Ty!

Review №46

Although a goodly portion of the menu is fried foods, you can tell that the taste of the oil in the batteries that they do change their oil regularly, so I've never not enjoyed any fried foods.

Review №47

Atmosphere, food and service were all amazing! Will definitely be making several more trips to try more menu items!!

Review №48

Good Food,Good staff

Review №49

This place has the worst service I ever seen in my life I ordered something that I didn't know for sure what was in it because when he explained it to me over the phone he was not clear so I came in to see the order and even though they got it wrong I was still going to order something else but instead of allowing me to do that he burnt down my throat about the fact that he just made that order and was going to have to make me another one rudely may I add so after that he tells me instead of me ordering something else he rather me leave so he doesn't have to cook another dish how disrespectful and unprofessional can you get I advise people not to go to this place

Review №50

Drinks are ok, food not so much anymore. This use to be our favorite spot to dine but the quality and quantity of food has gone down over the years.

Review №51

Staff was friendly and the atmosphere is good. Food was just so so. I got a Poboy, and the bread was below average, which can really ruin a sandwich. The restaurant is a little hard to find/hidden from the road. For a Cajun place in the middle of Michigan, not bad. Just don't expect authentic Louisiana quality Cajun.

Review №52

Great food

Review №53

Normally the food and service are great we just went there the waitress forgot about us 20 minutes no food we left

Review №54

I had the blackened mahi mahi with spinach and shrimp, and it was fantastic. I did have them leave off the cream and Sherry sauce since I do not easy dairy. I haven't had it made that well since canal inn closed 25 years ago. Cooked to perfection, seasoned just right and the wild rice on the side was yummy. This is also a gluten free meal. Arranged well on the plate. My husband had a cheeseburger and fries. Meat is Cooked to order. Had a good flavor.

Review №55

Best gumbo outside of New Orleans!

Review №56

If you want good food - Cajun or seafood, this is your kind of restaurant. Great food, reasonably priced and fast service.

Review №57

Good food

Review №58

Very disappointing quality of food for the prices.Ribs were toughAsparagus was soggyFound shells in the oystersChicken and steaks were dry and chicken was burntWon't be back ️

Review №59

Server was very attentive, good food. Portions were small

Review №60

Very good food and decent prices

Review №61

Well balanced southern cooking and a dish from spicy seafood to fried chicken. Humm hhmmm. Good mood food, and or momma and pappa style cooking. That's what's up!

Review №62

Did not know what I wanted

Review №63

Great food! The service and atmosphere are top notch. Highly recommend the Blackened Mahi Yvette or the Blackened catfish. Delicious!!

Review №64

The clam chowder was wonderful.

Review №65

Food is like it's out of the freezer microwaved. The bread pudding dessert was excellent though.

Review №66

Macandcheese mashed potatoes and the 8oz strip sreak I was impressed. An my waitress was awesome an very nice lady omg and the banana foster is awesome

Review №67

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. A class reunion was going on so we had to move from our table, no problem the staff was so accommodating and nice we ended up sitting on the balcony and watched the sunset. Food was awesome. I will recommend this place to everyone

Review №68

Don't let the outside fool you - this restaurant is incredible. Everything is very high quality. My wife is from Mississippi and loved the cajun dishes. Crawfish bisque is fire

Review №69

Now delivering with doordash!

Review №70

Great food

Review №71

Great food and service, as always!!

Review №72

Not the quickest service. Meal was worth the wait. Server tried to pass off Jack Daniel's for Jim Beam. You can't fool a Kentucky Bourbon drinker with Tennessee wiskey.

Review №73

Waitress was pleasant, food was on time. I had the blackened Catfish, cup of Gumbo, and Crab cakes. Everything was delicious! !!

Review №74

Average food for such high prices. Server seemed annoyed we were there. Family made reservations a week in advance and the server informed us she "would've liked to have known we were coming". Was rude and unfriendly. We were there February 24, 2019

Review №75

Good bar, but food isn't down south.

Review №76

Great little creole restaurant. Shrimp, fish, crawfish, bbq, and some "american" dishes for those unadventerous types. I had the salmon and it was awesome. Great desserts too. Live music on certain nights.

Review №77

Chicken Salad was superb..the dressing was excellent..nice atmosphere..will go again an again

Review №78

My husband and I came in last night for the first time. It was very slow so we were a bit worried at first coming in. Nicole was our waitress and she was amazing! She made recommendations to which I followed and my meal was beyond great! I only found this place by accident. Part of me wants to keep this place a hidden secret but know that's not good for business. I feel better road signage and advertising is really where you need to put some money. You're siting on a potential gold mine and I will do what I can to help spread the word! Amazing staff, atmosphere and food! Great job....we will be back!

Review №79

Service is slow

Review №80

Very good food with friendly staff.

Review №81

I truly enjoyed my experience. The environment was clean and beautiful. I ordered the oysters, which were super fresh and delicious. The best I've had in the Battle Creek/Kalamazoo area. I also enjoyed a very fresh salad, with rich and creamy dressing. Can't wait to go back.

Review №82

The service was excellent and the food was outstanding.

Review №83

Travelling from Chicago to Detroit and found this restaurant on Google Maps. Highly recommend if you are traveling that you take the time to dine here. I had the crab cakes with a side loaf of bread to dip in the sauce and the Blackened Mahi Yvette. Both great recommendations by my waitress Nicole. Absolutely outstanding food! Don't let the exterior chase you off as the dining room is wonderful.

Review №84

Wonderful; and good service.

Review №85

Best crab cakes hands down

Review №86

Love the Alligator Nuggets, Fried Crawfish and the Crawfish Etoufee. Laid back atmosphere, friendly staff and strong drinks. It's definitely a hidden gem.

Review №87

Best seafood ive had in years ..will be back

Review №88

Great food and atmosphere!

Review №89

Waitress treated us like we were idiots and flashed our receipt at us. Barely letting me see the cost of the food we got. Vegetables were gross and just boiled and over salted for a overpriced meal. And what restaurant serves pulled pork without bread to eat it on?

Review №90

Excellent food and service.

Review №91

Good cajan seafood, Good place for groups, Great waitresses!

Review №92

Paasche's always has good food and good service. I always ask about seafood specials. Sometimes they have something fresh that's not on the menu.

Review №93

Good food decent prices

Review №94

Clam chowder was very good

Review №95

We went there on Thursday night for a 21st Birthday Party. Reservations for 15 people had been made a couple of weeks back. We arrived and the hostess knew nothing about it! She flicked through her book, and told us it was the previous night. It was not. After checking, we waited while they set it up!!!! One of the guest ordered a hamburger with no condiments. It arrived with mayo and mustard and had to be sent back. His meal arrived when everyone else had finished their meals. I suggested that his meal should be comped! Waitress said well he ate it! I asked her to check with the manager (who did not come to our table)! Manager gave him 10% off his meal (85c) . As a consequence - 15 people and many of our friends, will never return to this restaurant!

Review №96

The food and service were great!

Review №97

Food and service was great
