Ten Stars! Five for the restaurant, and five for the server. We just moved to Beverly, and we will be back often. A very thoughtful design--you can tell the owners are here and they known what they're doing. The acoustic ceiling looks cool, and allowed us to cary on a conversation even though the place was busy. A very complete and varied menu--something at every price point. We had the vegetable soup, the blackened chicken with pasta, the chicken under a brick, and the bread pudding. And we could only fit the desert because we packed 2/3 of the entrees to go! Each item was the best we had ever had--and we're old, fat people with money. We know better :-) Add the fresh Italian bread and the humus. Now to our server--Chloe. Very poised, very knowledgeable, perfect suggestions (with good reasoning) on menu and wine selection. I would have guessed that she had been in a high end Boston restaurant for twenty years, except she just graduated from college. How can that be? She told us about the great training that Soma's owners supply to staff. I rarely review restaurants, but this place is exceptional.
