Reservation this evening for 2ppl for 8. Beautiful restaurant great food (according to my husband) and service from our server. Unfortunately my entree had not been prepared as requested according to a strict dietary restriction (egg). Our server tried to correct it and I was informed when she returned at 9:05 on a Saturday (restaurant closes at 9 and there were serval tables remaining - one of which received food after this incident) that the chef is very “strict” the kitchen was now closed and I did not have an option for my meal to be remade. This is pretty disappointing while I understand the staff want/need to get home I also had no other options for dinner when I left. My meal was removed from the bill as would be expected but I'm still $100 in for dinner for one and going home hungry. This was our first time here and had I known we would've chosen another restaurant altogether.Owner should be aware this was a really poor decision on behalf of the chef. I sincerely hope there was no personal emergency that influenced this situation. Judging by other reviews this closing time issue seems to be a reoccurring theme though as is the inability to accommodate dietary limitations. Im still shocked they would send away a hungry paying customer after an error on their part.P.S. I called ahead before making the reservation regarding the dietary need and took the recommendation of the server on the entree based on it.

I enjoyed fresh summer rolls( I wish you have option for either Fish sauce or peanut dipp) instead of veniger?? Sushi and all was great! Clean&calm exotic interior! .Try&you wont be disappointed

My wife and I live in Billings. We always go to Sweet Chili when in Bozeman. This visit was unfortunately a 3 star visit. Why would the chef put fish oil in the Chicken and Beef Basil? That ruined the taste of a multi flavored dish to that of old sardines? The gyoza remained very good. The chocolate layer cake, along with the Caymus Cab, was delicious and mostly killed the dead fish taste. The server Kerry was very pleasant; I asked her to tell the chef that I strongly disagreed with his use of an overpowering fish oil. She possibly chickened out. She brought no feedback from the kitchen. Or any other response. That is not the mark of a high class restaurant.----Next day, we just had a much better meal at Olive Garden. Half the price, no fish oil on chicken, chicken actually pan fried, not raw white as at Sweet Chili. What happened ? New owners?----My wife and I went back to Sweet Chili one more time. It turned out to be our last. Every item was bad, bland, tasteless, except for the constant fish oil.

I do not understand the latest menu changes. If you are a vegetarian you can only order red curry or yellow curry but not green curry with tofu. I have never been to a Thai restaurant where all choices of protein were not offered. Very strange to not be able to eat green curry just because you are a vegetarian!!! My favorite curry. They do call themselves a Thai restaurant mainly so if the kitchen is overwhelmed by choices maybe cut other items. And let people have their curry!!! Very disappointing.

Review №5

Our trip to Bozeman was made complete by visiting sweet chili. The food was unbelievable and the service made the experience just that much better. Sage made us feel like family and went above and beyond to make our meal truly amazing!

Review №6

Having visited all 7 continents and over 30 countries, I can quite confidently say this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to - that isn't an exaggeration. We ordered the jumbo shrimp and it had a sauce so exceptional, I would die to have the recipe. We also got an alligator main dish, which, being from Florida, I had slights doubts at how good it would be.Surprisingly enough, it was better than anything I had at home! And these were just daily specials on a random weekday - not even regular menu items! I can't even begin to imagine how wonderful the other items on the menu are.Sage was an exceptional waitress and kept us engaged, making the experience very enjoyable. Definitely one of the best waiters/waitresses I've had at a restaurant in a long time. My girlfriend is gluten-free, and not only did Sage go out of her way to explain all gluten-free items on the menu, she was willing to have the entire kitchen cleaned to allow for zero cross-contamination! That is not something a normal restaurant does, and it was such an amazing gesture.I'll definitely be recommending this restaurant to anyone who visits Bozeman!

Review №7

By far one of my favorite restaurants in town! I highly recommend trying the curry or fried rice.

Review №8

Food is fantastic and service is wonderful! Sage is a great waitress. Would recommend 100%

Review №9

Hands down, some of the best Asian/Thai food I've ever had. My husband and I have travelled all over the country and world and we would come back to Bozeman JUST FOR this restaurant. I had the summer rolls and the drunken noodles, he had the pot stickers and Mongolian bison - out of this world good!! Could not recommend more

Review №10

They have solid Thai food. I have eaten in or ordered out over a dozen times. However, customer service and order follow through is severely lacking, and we therefore will no longer eat here. Numerous issues have occurred on multiple occassions - missed entrees on take out, refusal to adjust/add ingredients in entrees one day but willing to other days, and being talked down to when pointing out their mistakes.

Review №11

The food here is delicious and fun! the service was amazing and Sage was such a good waitress :) 12/10 would definitely come back.

Review №12

Our waitress Sage was amazing!!! Ask for her!!! Our food was delicious as well! We will definitely be eating there again!

Review №13

One of best restaurants in Bozeman. Great food. Great service. Decent price

Review №14

The food here was absolutely wonderful I loved it!! Amazing service & Sage is a great server, loved her!

Review №15

Absolutely LOVE this place. Been here so many times and it's always fantastic. Every food item I've ever ordered has been nothing short of delicious. Service is incredible!!!

Review №16

Just picked up the food and tried it, must say super disappointed, do not go and order here. I ordered thom kha soup, it cost $15 dollars so I asked the hostess if it's large , she went oh yes it's very big , I got super tiny plastic cup of soup! For $15 ! Anyway that would be ok if soup didn't taste nothing but like sugar ! It's terrible. I also ordered sushi rolls that had no eel in it whatsoever, and it was covered in some sweet soy sauce . The only thing that was more or less edible is ginger bison . Waste of money and very dissatisfied.

Review №17

Not a good restaurant for vegan/vegetarians.Only vegan curry option was yellow curry which came bland without salt and tasted watery. Please go elsewhere for better vegan/vegetarian options such as Pakeeza Indian which is a few mins away.

Review №18

Great service, fresh food! We are travelers and I would travel back just for this

Review №19

Sage was an absolute gem. Best waitress and best Asian food in town

Review №20

Delightful service and atmosphere. Absolutely delicious food. There's bison in several dishes on the menu. We had one and the meat was tender and perfectly done. The Tom Ka Gai soup was also excellent.

Review №21

Large enough for social distancing. Oh, good food too.

Review №22

Love the pot stickers as well as the waitress. Phenomenal service from start to finish.

Review №23

Order their iced tea. So good!!!!! And with the sushi, spot on!

Review №24

Sage was great waitress! Super funny and checked on us often. I definitely recommend Sweet Chili. Such a cute location in Downtown Bozeman. Also, this restaurant is family owned and operated. Such kind staff, management and business owners!

Review №25

Great service, good food, you can even choose how spicy you want it

Review №26

I love this place! The only reason I leave off one star is because 90% of the time our togo orders are missing something. Everything else here is AMAZING! They always have a wonderful staff and they never disappoint with their dishes. It's always clean and the wait time minimal.

Review №27

Sage was an amazing waitress and service was great and the food was fantastic

Review №28

Incredible authentic experience. The lychee gimlet was delicious as was the fools gold martinis. The food had excellent flavor, plates were hot and there was plenty of it. Sage is a rockstar server, there's a reason everyone mentions her here! Much respect to the owner, who delivered our food and was attentive (on a Sat night). Atmosphere was fun, look forward to coming back.

Review №29

Try the savory Tom Yum Seafood SoupDined at Sweet Chili on Father's Day. Our server was prompt and attentive but not hovering. Decore was Asian themed but not fakey "You are in Bangkok!" The restaurant seemed a little warm but not uncomfortable. We started off with the Tom Yum Seafood Soup that 3 of us shared as an appetizer. Our favorite dish was the soup which was slightly sweet and a little spicy with lots of ingredients. The scallops were our favorite seafood but the shrimp and mussels were good, too. Then my wife had the Sweet Chili Thai Tofu which was light and not too spicy even at 2 chilis. My son had a Crispy Chicken Ramen and the Red Dragon Roll. He enjoyed both but preferred the Dragon Roll. I chose the Ginger Bison which was a "Chef Recommends". It was delicious with light but flavorful sauce and not as chewy as most bison dishes so ... good job!I forgot the "before" photos but you can see the aftermath!

Review №30

The kitchen was closed a half hour before the posted closing time.

Review №31

This was my first time at Sweet Chili's and it was fantastic. I struggle with most ethnic food choicrs... pretty whimpy when it comes to anything remotely spicy. But our server Sage was fantastic in her recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service!

Review №32

The food was fantastic. Good and spicy. Our server, Sage, was top notch. We will definitely be back!!

Review №33

We had a wonderful experience. They have an amazing special selection. Our server Sage was great and made an awesome recommendation for avoiding food allergens.

Review №34

I'm shocked at how rude the owner of this restaurant is. Instead of letting us know they were closing and kindly asking us to finish up, he blasted the volume of the music so loud you couldn't hear the person next to you speak. I kid you not, you had to yell to be heard. It was the rudest thing I've ever experienced in a restaurant, and from the owner no less. And we weren't the only customers still in the place! I was stunned. We will never be returning to sweet chili.

Review №35

Good vegan options

Review №36

I love everything about this! The place seems so elegant was pleasantly surprised by the affordable delicious cuisine

Review №37

As someone with multiple food allergies this is one venue where I can actually eat--and have the luxury of many dishes to choose from. At other venues, needing to avoid wheat, dairy, and egg usually limits me to a salad with a little grilled chicken on top. At Sweet Chili there are dozens of fresh ingredient dishes I can choose from and the servers are knowledgeable kind and understanding about my concerns. Always willing to Double check the safety of a dish or make an ingredient adjustment. And yes the food is amazing! So nice to be able to eat out now and again. Been coming here for years. One tip: yes they're a popular venue, so it can get noisy in the evenings. Try visiting for the lunch specials on a weekday, if you want to enjoy the food and some quieter conversation.

Review №38

Really nice place. Sushi was above average. And priced above average as well. Kind of upscale. Great service.

Review №39

I was not expecting to find good Asian food in Bozeman, but boy is this place good! The waitress was really friendly too, which made the space extremely inviting. I will be back.

Review №40

Drinks are amazing, food even better

Review №41

Adorable place, wonderful food and our server Sage was very attentive and sweet. We enjoyed our time and appreciated the service!

Review №42

Really well executed. great service. delicious food. cold beer. server was 10 out of 5.

Review №43

Had an excellent tasty lunch with my daughter. I will be back.

Review №44

Their dishes are truly delicious. I love their Mongolian beef dish it's on point. So is the Drunken Noodles and everything else I've ever had there.

Review №45

Tasty curry. Could use more gf sushi roll options.

Review №46

My favorite restaurant in Bozeman!! Best service, best food. Sage was the best waitress!

Review №47

This is a charming Thai restaurant. The staff are friendly. The food is good. The place is usually not too busy but they also don't pack you in like sardines so even when it is busy, it doesn't feel claustrophobic.

Review №48

Great food. Diverse menu with a mix of cooked dishes and excellent sushi. Staff is always on it. And prices are reasonable. One of our favorite spots.

Review №49

Wow. Outstanding thai cuisine. Tom Yum- best ever. Papaya Salad - fresh + delicious. Server, warm + kind + effecient.

Review №50

The food is pretty good, but has more aesthetic than flavor. It's pretty but average. It's also astronomically expensive for what you get. You're basically paying for how nice it looks. We split a sashimi platter for 2, which didn't even have equal portions for each person, and a simple soup and spent $70 - at lunch. We left hungry. Also, service was slow, we were never offered drink refills and they didn't bring us utensils for 2 people. Other sushi places in town serving the same quality food will give you 3 times the amount for the same price. Honestly, we probably won't return.

Review №51

Food was great and service was so fast! Our waitress Sage was awesome!!!

Review №52

Pricey but good food.

Review №53

Diverse menu with customizable spiciness levels to suit any taste. I was highly impressed with both the menu and quality of service here. We were impressed that you could get quality sushi as well as a diverse selection of other Asian inspired dishes. I'm looking forward to my next visit as there are so many things I want to try here.

Review №54

This is one of our go to places to eat. Great food and service!

Review №55

Sweet Chili's food is good, but not incredible in my opinion, and their prices are a little on the high end (especially the sushi prices). My two main criticisms of the restaurant revolve around the atmosphere and the quantity of rice served with some dishes. The bistro is set up like a mess hall with everyone sitting next to one another and nothing to acoustically absorb the voices bouncing around in the room. My significant other ordered a curry dish but received a small plate of rice without the knowledge that additional rice could be requested free of charge. She ate a good portion of her meal like a soup before the waitress asked if she wanted more rice. Overall, it was a fine experience, but I feel there are better options for Asian food in Bozeman.

Review №56

The drunken noodles are fantastic and the servers are always great!

Review №57

Hands down the best Asian food in Bozeman with an exquisite atmosphere!!

Review №58

This is a capable Asian restaurant with great table service and a varied menu. In fact, there are there there menus ... Drinks, sushi, and dinner. The meals were nicely spiced and rich with vegetables. But, I don't think you'd mistake it for a high end Asian restaurant in San Francisco or Los Angeles. Daily specials. Unexpectedly good for a restaurant not near the sea shore.

Review №59

Amazing food, amazing service. Ive been dining here since they opened their doors and the food quality and consistency blows me away. A very tasteful yet affordable, fine dining experience. The drinks are also phenomenal. I suggest getting the Blue Basil cocktail for those watching sugar intake or, for those with a taste for bourbon, the Horse's Neck. The menu is very broad with a varying degree of spice, my personal favorite and "usual" however is of the sweeter variety, Pad Thai (the best I've had). If a more savory dish is appealing I order the Cashew chicken.

Review №60

Amazing Food! Decent service.

Review №61

Cashew chicken was terrific, kitchen was a little slow - but worth the wait...

Review №62

It was the best dining experience ever. Our waitress was the best, she didn't do that thing where they stop by your table every few minutes to make sure the food is good, interrupting our conversations. The food was awesome by the way. I'm going to go back for lunch when I have a long enough lunch break, it's worth going to downtown.

Review №63

Best asian food in Bozeman.

Review №64

My favorite restaurant in Bozeman! We have never had a bad meal. If you like spice~Drunken Noodles are amazing. And the Yellow Curry with Chicken is to die for. The absolute best Asian food around!

Review №65

Yum! Everything we have ordered here is delicious! Even my kids eat until their plates are clean! I would highly recommend ordering family style and trying multiple dishes.

Review №66

Garlic roasted duck was fantastic, excellent service, great ambiance

Review №67

These guys really do have good food but are never consistent with when they close. When the better half and I can get different food from the same place great! But if they decide to close over a half an hour before the printed date on the door it really makes for a frustrating time. Fix the times or stay open. Thank you

Review №68

Sage was awesome and the food is always great!

Review №69

Always delicious. Duck curry is my favorite, but they are all so good every time I go! Great ambiance, comfortable seating.

Review №70

Food has good flavor but for $20 for shrimp fried rice i couldnt believe my eyes the small portion that arrived at the table. I thought it was a side of rice for the Mongolian beef that we ordered as lacking shrimp, egg, bean sprouts, vegies, ect... Shameful.

Review №71

Great food Great service

Review №72

This place deserves all 5 of the 5 stars possible. Not only is the cuisine superb, the service is impeccable, and simply could not be better. April was our server and timed the meal perfectly, filled our glasses regularly, and made sure to ask several times if we needed anything. The soft shell crab was sumptuous and sweet and spicy at the same time, my wife's Pad Thai was the best she has had anywhere. Who would figure on great soft shell crab in Montana? This is a can not miss restaurant

Review №73

First time at sweet chili and at the moment and I am still finishing my meal but Ive found the food so good I had to write a review. I ordered the chicken drunken noodles and hot house sake. One of the best meals I've ever had. Great service to boot

Review №74

Love the atmosphere and the food. Unfortunately everytime we have been to Sweet Chili the service is lacking in personality and passion. Service is usually slow as well. We will continue to go since the food is great we just know not to expect a wonderful experience.

Review №75

Overpriced, unportioned, and unimpressive.Their sashimi dinner for two was 1/2 the amount of food you get as lunch special at other sushi restaurants for three times the price. And was an odd number of pieces... If you are splitting it with two people why would you serve 13 pieces of fish 3/3/3/4?That said, their Thai coconut soup is amazing.

Review №76

Excellent food. Great service and one of the sweetest staffs and ownership around. Highly recommend .

Review №77

Traveling as tourists, we finally found a good review restaurant and drove all the way there. Ordered my favorite TOM YUM GOONG. On my 3 scoop, chewed on a hard thing and pricked my gum. I first thought it was the shell of the clam but after I took it out from my mouth, I was just disgusted. It was a hard plastic and the 2 ends were pretty sharp. I called my server and would like to have a word with the manager. The manager came, after I told her this is horrible, I wasn't expecting this from this high-end place, she started repeating my words and laughing with the server... I asked her why are you laughing, she said:"I wasn't laughing at you." Okay? THEN WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT? At first the manager denied that this was from their restaurant, then she said it's probably from one of their plastic saucer's bottle in the kitchen.... Yes, I would second that...Then she just left... I felt really sick by just thinking about that plastic boiling with the soup that was brought to my table... Felt like vomiting. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone...Just not acceptable....

Review №78

My family stopped in over the weekend and we experienced the worst service I have ever had at any restaurant. I have heard many wonderful things from friends about how good the food is, and that is where the problem starts. We never even got any food, let alone service!! The girl who brought us to our table seemed to have a very snotty attitude, no big deal maybe she was having a bad day? We were looking over the menu and thought to ourselves... wow it's been a long time since anyone has come over to take our order. The staff almost seemed to ignore any sort of eye contact and would not come over to take our order. Eventually 10 minutes had gone by and I had to flag down an employee who was swiftly walking by as if trying to avoid us. We told him we had been waiting for well over 10 minutes to get any sort of service and he handled the situation very poorly. It was almost like he could care less, I asked him if we could order and he said "Oh... I guess I can take your order." We promptly left and went right downstairs to Copper where we had food out in less time than it took a Sweet Chili employee to give us the time of day. Like some others have said in these reviews, remind your staff that the customers are the reason they have a job. I will not be returning may as well go to McDonald's for service like this, I wish it could have been recorded.

Review №79

One of our favorites for dinner. Don't hesitate to take a seat at the sushi bar if there is a wait. Spicy basil, red and yellow curry are true comfort foods.

Review №80

It was good food. Expected a little more from such a 'fancy' place.

Review №81

One of my favorite restaurants in town. My wife and I have been here many many times and have never had a bad bite!

Review №82

Fabulous place! Great sushi, curry, and pad Thai! Have loved everything that I've tried.

Review №83

It is very hard to get good Asian cuisine in Montana. That being said, this place does a decent job (though it won't rival any of the coastal big cities). I would recommend staying away from the more standard dishes like Pad Thai, as you will likely find it is not what you imagined. However, I can recommend the papaya salad and the curries. If you order tofu, be sure to ask to get it fried, otherwise you'll be stuck with cold, limp blocks of raw tofu. On a more positive note, the atmosphere is really great - very trendy and fun. Also, the cocktails are delicious and creative. Overall, a great date-night or special occasion spot.

Review №84

Very contemporary Asian spot right in downtown Bozeman. Depending on when you go it can be quick and easy to get a table or a bit of a wait. The food however is worth it. A must try dish is their take on drunken noodles (with your choice of meat or tofu). The duck goes particularly well.

Review №85

Great variety and types of Asian/ Thai food. Stylish. Not steet fare! I tried the drunken noodles with duck and was very impressed. Duck was prepared pefectly! Great rolls. Staff was exceptional!

Review №86

My husband and I both think this is the best Thai food in town. We had egg rolls and I had cashew nut chicken with white rice and he had drunken noodles. To be honest we usually don't stray from those orders because they are very good. We have never tried the sushi so we cannot attest for that but the rest of the food was very good. The staff speak english and the restaurant itself is clean and spacious. We were very happy with our service and our meals. I think the thing that really makes them stand out from the rest of the local asian restaurants in town is how they prepare their meet. The chicken is cooked very well and tastes good, most other places in town it is rubbery, but not here!

Review №87

Great atmosphere. Excellent food.

Review №88

Consistently good food. This is one of my favorite places for a business lunch.

Review №89

This place has become my #1 favorite restaurant in Bozeman. The food is awesome! The ambiance/decor is soooo cool. And the service is normally great. And guess what - if you have a really cool room that people enjoy being in and then you treat people well and also cook delicious meals - YOU GET 5 STARS!

Review №90

Delicious Asian quisine! Amazing food and creative menu. Service is lacking.

Review №91

The food was amazing! However the wait was a tad long. But for a group of 9 adults that's probably normal.

Review №92

Food was good, and none of the issues were worth raising a fuss about on their own... but that's what reviews are for.- We weren't told about any specials. The table next to us sat down and heard a laundry list of specials from a different server- The food (ordered as-is apart from one subtraction) took forever. Several adjacent tables received their food ahead of us- One of the dishes (again, ordered as-is) had the wrong ingredient in itAgain, the food and the server we didn't get were good.

Review №93

Sushi and fried rice with bison was great

Review №94

Nice place and awesome food

Review №95

Friendly & helpful staff, extensive menu.. And everything we ordered was delicious. Even my high-maintenence friend (dare I say Princess!?) thought the service was good ;)

Review №96

I love this place!

Review №97

Food is consistently very good and service is also good. Sometimes it takes quite a while to get the food out. This is one of our favorite places to eat in Bozeman.

Review №98

Always perfect!

Review №99

Great drinks little pricey on some items but it's worth it.overall, great place to get curry or sushi!

Review №100

Spicy tuna roll is great! I not big on sushi, but this is one place I'll eat it. The noodles are also good if you like things a bit on the spicy side. Nice atmosphere and great service.
