We came to Burlington to visit and prepare to attend a wedding and go on a cruise from Charleston SC so we stayed at a local hotel to rest and after our rest, my boyfriend being the sweet person he is was looking for a place to take me to dinner. He remembers me saying how much I love grouper and found a place close by that claimed to have it. It's been 20 years since I've had grouper so first we were greeted by the manager who verified they do in fact have grouper! The atmosphere was elegant, quaint and the music was just right, especially after driving for over 20 hours. I asked for a special way to cook the grouper and the chef, Dave Katz was happy to accommodate me and oh my, it was so delicious that I savored it to the very last bite!! I had steamed broccoli with it and it was made to perfection. My boyfriend had filet mignon with twice baked potato and the bread served and he said his meal was also made to perfection! The waitress made me fresh coffee even though we came in a bit late, around 9, she was professional and courteous but we could tell she was ready to go home, we didn't blame her. We think the managers name was Lee, I can't say enough about how good this place was, we'll be back on our next trip in.
