Signature Grill

Review №1

Staff is always timely even when they have a full house. The bill was decent for the quality. Food is similar to a cafe in Indianapolis I liked.

Review №2

Desi Chipotle. Great taste and wide variety of flavor Paneer Rice bowl, Vada curry and samosa chat is just delicious.

Review №3

Service is always timely even when they have a full house. i've had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back. the place has a nice feel to it. mood here is similar to fresno's scene.

Review №4

Their food is Halal certified so you don't need to worry about that ( ̄▽ ̄)And not just that their prices are very reasonable along with their good food options

Review №5

Very good fusion restaurant, various dishes to try which are mouthwatering and succulent. The service is good, well maintained and the staff is very friendly and polite.

Review №6

Great food, closer to authentic Indian flavors than any other place on campus, even though the food itself is fusion

Review №7

Excellent food. Tastes fantastic and at a reasonable price

Review №8

They have decreased the portion by a lot. Almost 1/3 the amount it used to be...

Review №9

Great place for a quick lunch, the staff was very friendly. The chickpeas and rice were delicious, but my falafel were a bit dry

Review №10

It won't be wrong to say that Signature Grill is the best Indian food in town. Specifically try their Chicken Chettinad Paratha when they offer South Indian special. The food they serve is freshly cooked. Also try their various Dosa specials. Big fan. Thanks.

Review №11

Definitely recommend it. Good authentic and fusion dosa.Service is prompt and there is ample space. I wish they cleaned the tables more frequently.

Review №12

Tikka Bowl was yummy!

Review №13

They won't let me bring in my bike even though there's 0 customers

Review №14

Nice place with a nice ambience. Food is well priced and staff is kind. A good choice for Indians craving Indian food or anyone wanting to try Chipotle-style Indian rice bowls.

Review №15

Best Fusion cuisine I have ever eaten. The menu is so innovative and the dishes are so mouth watering. I felt very sad just because I couldn't try the other awesome dishes they had. Very quick service as well. Highly recommended for everyone to try.

Review №16

One of the best cafeteria-style Indian restaurants I have ever been to. Pretty much everything on the menu can be prepared to suit your liking (spicy, non-spicy, etc). Very inexpensive too. Try the samosa chaat and the paneer dosa with korma if you like spicy Indian food. Would 100% recommend the place to anyone visiting Chambana.

Review №17

My go-to place for lunch! Although the place serves Indian fusion food, I think it is the only place in champaign that comes closest to the authentic Indian taste. The prices are reasonable and quantity is plenty.

Review №18

Low price with satisfactory food. The mint chutney is nice.

Review №19

They are too slow and dishonest for a green street eatery. Their food is not worth the long wait. Its just basic Indian curries.

Review №20

Most authentic south Indian fare in Champaign! They offer vada sambar, idli, a wide variety of dosas and so much more! They even have coconut chutney for the dosas. If you want something more fusion style you can get a rice bowl, taco, burrito, etc with delicious Indian style classics like paneer tikka, chicken, etc.If you like sweet drinks they have rose milk and lassi as well! They have something to offer for everyone.

Review №21

Ordered thru Grunhub and they could gave someone our food.. and us waiting 30 minutes as as supposed to pick up and go.

Review №22

Interesting variety of food, and tastes good (coming from an Indian person). One of my favourite Indian food places in CU.PS. Their specials are great!

Review №23

I went to this restaurant last week had Dosa, it's wasn't good at all, sambar was tasted like salt water.

Review №24

Use to be good .

Review №25

Great fast food in town dosa is superb only my complain is their place is small they need to open branch or bigger space anyway food is so good in town :)

Review №26

I recommend getting one of the cafeteria line options (rice bowl, burrito, etc.) rather than one of the items you need to order at the register for (specials, dosas, etc.).I occasionally eat here and order a rice bowl, which is usually fine. Recently I decided to try one of the (slightly more expensive) South Indian specials which are offered on Wednesday, and had to wait 20 minutes before asking the person on the register about my order, who then told me that they forgot about my order.

Review №27

Visited this place to have Dosa. I ordered Masala Dosa with Rose Milk. Dosa was decent however the Sambhar, a curry served with Dosa, wasn't nice at all. Surprisingly it lacked the taste it usually used to have. Rose Milk was average. Considering the price of the meal, 13 USD, it's not worth value for money.

Review №28

It's very cool Indian style chipotle.

Review №29

Unique concept and amazing food. Tikka sauce and dosa are a must to try.

Review №30

One of my top 3 go-to places for lunch. I personally love the rice bowl with falafel and tikka sauce. The guys working there do a great job. Its quick, no-frills, and delicious!

Review №31

Good food and price, but smelly place. If you plan to eat there make sure to wear something you don't want because you will throw your clothes away from the smell

Review №32

Nice place for a quick byte. Clean facility with good sitting area and rest rooms. We went as a group and we ordered rice + check peas and paratha raps. I felt a little sick after eating the rice and curry but other has no problem. We would probably try this place again.

Review №33

Really cool food choices. I ate the samosa Chaat and it was very tasty. I also had a falafel bowl and that was good too. Although I should say that since it was my first time there, I was confused on what all to get in the bowl and the young woman behind the counter was not helpful at all. She could have shown me what the options were since they were labeled in very small letters and hard to read. The chai here is absolutely amazing!!! The Indian food seems quite authentic and tasty.

Review №34

Food is good and it's close to campus so, why not? ;)

Review №35

Really yummy! Lots of variety.

Review №36

Good place for Indian food. Liked it.

Review №37

Gotta love Signature. It's fusion, and they have paneer and I love paneer. Ahhhhh. It's not as good as home cooked meals (I've never been to an Indian restaurant thats been as good as home cooked meals) but it's still good

Review №38

I have enjoyed every meal I've had there so far.

Review №39

A refreshing and delicious take on Indian cuisine

Review №40

One of the rare places actually manages to pull off Indian fusion food well

Review №41

Very bad customer service! Yelled at me for being confused and rudely shoved my food to me!

Review №42

I've been waiting for a good spot to get Indian food near campus for so long!!! I had the two different vegetarian tacos, they were SO GOOD!!! the chickpeas were so tasteful and the paneer was amazing. Each sauce was so full of amazing flavors I was licking my plate!! The corn taco shells did break very easily, I would ask to double wrap it, especially since the sauce makes it even easier to break.

Review №43

I love Sigature Grill. It's where I get my Indian food fix in town. Their mango lassis are definitely worth it.

Review №44

Wow! Never had dosas before coming here- super delicious, definitely recommend trying this place.

Review №45

Really great food. Price is good and food is filling. Service is really nice and helpful.

Review №46

Good alternative for Indian food. Their special menue in the evening is a good way of trying new food.

Review №47

Great dosa!

Review №48

Worst food I ever had,I don't know what kind of fusion is this,if I could give zero star that's worth it.

Review №49

Great place for authentic Dosas and Southern Indian food. Lovely owner too!

Review №50

Their food is tasty and all. But i knocked two points off because the place isn't ventilated properly. My clothes always smell bad when i leave this place

Review №51

Best dosa I ever had in US

Review №52

Awesome concept and excellent customer service

Review №53

They serve a good amount of protein. Food's pretty good as well

Review №54

Repeat customer here. Always have a great dining experience. Food portions are generous and the combos i've tried have always hit the spot. Love that it is quick and filling.

Review №55

Good food and cheap. What can be better?!

Review №56

Great Indian crossover food. Walk-up style, can see them prepare your food. Workers are friendly and willing to help you select toppings if you are unsure of what to order!

Review №57

This place has been decent since opening but they seem to have stepped it up a bit since January 2019. I am eating a rice bowl with half tikka paneer and half curried chick peas w/tikka sauce and this combo is fantastic. Oh, and bonus points for guilt-free, environmentally conscious packaging. Cheers!

Review №58

Serving Indian food in Mexican style. Cheap and worth for what you are paying. Taste is good.

Review №59

Chipotle style make your own burrito or rice bowl for Indian food. Don't go here for traditional Indian food, but honestly the food is overall great, has some spice level to most dishes so be careful about that if you aren't very spice tolerant. Do try Samosa and Chai.

Review №60

Quick and delicious Indian fast food. Reasonably priced. Makes for a good lunch during office hours

Review №61

Nice bright place on campus with really good Indian food for a fastfood. It is clean and has big windows, so there's a lot of light inside. Pricing is reasonable, but the menu is quite limited, although it is expected from the fastfood. The things they have are pretty good though, and the meals are pretty big. I'd definitely recommend it.

Review №62

Has been my go-to place for the most authentic Indian Black Tea (aka Masala Chai) and the most humbling dosas (crepês).Apart from the sumptuous menu, they often run specials on at least 3 days (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays) offering cuisines representative of different Indian geographical locations.

Review №63

Good food for good price. American Desi style. And yeah you get to hear good Tamil tracks.

Review №64

Good place for indian food .

Review №65

The food didn't look as appetizing as other places, but, I decided to give it a try and I thought the flavor was still good regardless. As the saying goes “don't judge a book by its cover”.

Review №66

Fast service, and a great place to go if ya want quick and decent indian food.

Review №67

Tl;dr: Real authentic Indian flavour. Delicious beyond belief. Easy 5/5!Dosas are hard to make. It's even harder to make a Dosa that emits an aroma so pleasant it takes you back to your childhood.Chicken is hard to not overcook. It's even harder to make succulent, tender chicken tikka that melts in your mouth without the need to even bite it.When I heard of this place I was doubtful at first god...was I wrong. The food was absolutely amazing and so (and I can not stress this enough) authentic. The Dosas actually brought back memories of my childhood. The tikka sauce...I want to buy a tub of it and slather it on everything. The service was mind blowing. I talked primarily to the gentleman with the beard and Ferrari button up. His goal was to do nothing but make sure I had the best experience here.Want a tikka dossa? Get these toppings to compliment it.Want extra sauce? Here, no problem. Be careful, it's hot!Want to enjoy your Dosa while we make your chicken Manchurian fresh from scratch? No worries, grab a seat. We'll bring it to your table. If you are looking for amazing food and an authentic, good-hearted people, definitely check this place out.

Review №68

Essentially the chipotle of Indian food, very good food. Happy this place opened! I have been searching for a budget Indian restaurant for awhile now..

Review №69

Good food, samosa and dosa (rice crepe) are very authentic and delicious with good pairing of chutneys(sauces). Convenient location, reasonably priced.

Review №70

Really loved the fusion food, the shrimp as recommended by the staff there was fantastic... Maybe too soon to say but this might become one of the best places to eat on Green st.!

Review №71

Waited in line for 15 minutes, then waited for food another 35 minutes. If you lack patience don't come here.

Review №72

Build your own (a la Chipotle) bowl/wrap/dosa/etc with your choice of fresh (and delicious) Indian ingredients. Always a good choice when looking for a quick bite.

Review №73

I would say one of the best Indian places in town. Although it can get too spicy if you add the extra sauce so beware of that

Review №74

Not happy with pricing and the quantity. It should be competitive with something like chipotle but it is not definitely! Their hooked deal said 2$ off extra protein and I showed it at the end and they didn't give me any extra protein. They said it is already extra protein which doesn't make any sense! I don't recommend this place.

Review №75

Quick, tasty and cheap. Look out for the hooked deal which gives a free drink with entree.

Review №76

Awesome fusion of Indian and Mexican cuisines. However, one can have just Dosa if you like to have authentic Indian dosa. The only downside is that the bowl of rice with all the veggies and curries doesn't look very presentable at the end.

Review №77

Only place on campus which has great food and plays Tamil music! Love it!

Review №78

Love this style of Indian food. Get those chutneys on any curry you like. My favorite is malai chicken with korma curry. And guess what, you can also get stuffed dosa (stuffed savory crepes) !! Don't forget to get one of the basil seeds drinks, preferably the grape flavors

Review №79

I love their mint paneer

Review №80

Love this place. Great food at decent prices. I am not a huge fan of their dosa's but the rice bowl, samosa's and lassi are all great!

Review №81

Best Indian fusion place on campus. Great food!

Review №82

Most affordable and easiest way to get Indian/fusion food on campus

Review №83

Good Indian style food... And probably the cheapest tummy fulfilling indian food at UIUC.... They even claim to have Halal food, but Better to confirm it from them

Review №84

Good place for Indian food. Their rice bowl is really good.

Review №85

Fast food Indian, very fresh and flavorful. Prices are inexpensive, except for the partha wrap which is definitely on the small side for the $4.99 cost. Best mango lassi in town.

Review №86

Superb inexpensive food. Indian/Mexican cuisine.

Review №87

A Mediterranean version of Chipotle. Perfect place to get that burrito fix but with a different flair.

Review №88

Not fancy but enjoyable meals. Indian food flavors, Chipotle/Subway model of preparation

Review №89

One of the good option if you like Indio-Mexican fusion

Review №90

Honestly loved this place. It's cheap, fast and flavorful

Review №91

Good food. Dosa and samosas are a must-have!

Review №92

Fast service and great Indian food!

Review №93

Dosa's and rice bowl are good. Best place to eat (indian) fusion food at university

Review №94

Overall bad food and horrible customer service !!!

Review №95

Good food and service

Review №96

Great rice bowls. Usually get their Tikka chicken with extra Tikka sauce. Their mango lassi could definitely be better though. It tastes kinda powdery.

Review №97

Cheap, fast Indian food.

Review №98

Wonderful flavors and mouth watering dishes. Keep up the good work

Review №99

Good Options for food...I like the vegetarian options in falafal and paneer

Review №100

Great food for on the go
