Just sharing my experience in case it helps someone else, I already tried calling and did not receive much help from the restaurant. I picked up an order of fajitas and a few other things to bring home. I tipped despite ordering to-go because a friend and I ate an appetizer of chips and guac at the restaurant. The food was not cooked evenly. The fajita meat tasted tough like it was cooked too long, and the bell peppers were very al dente, and I found a hair in the sour cream. Though I did not order chips and salsa, someone brought it to the table where we were waiting without asking us. Also the restaurant included more in the to-go bag, and I was charged for it without being told. Whilst normally not a big deal, if it was something I ate to see a charge, I don't eat chips and salsa, so I am finding out later i paid for something I didnt order and do not eat. When I called the restaursnt to advise of my experience and ask on the charges, phone rang unanswered and I had to call again. Finally someone answered. I asked about the 1.50 to-go fee on the receipt as I did not expect it. The person on the phone told me there is a .25 cent fee for a to_go per platter and he said it is specified on the menu. It must not be clearly marked as we looked over the menu before we ordered and did not see it. I suggested telling the customers before an order is placed to be transparent. Then I asked about the charge for chips and salsa. I was told it was not complementary because we did a to-go order and did not dine in. I advised that what he said did not make sense to me, because there were chips and salsa in the to-go bag, and that regardless we did not order it. I said we only asked for chips and guac and we expected to only see a guac charged. He repeated they do not give it to us free because we did not have our dinner at the restaurant. I said that is fine, but we did not order chips and salsa and if it is not free, no one should bring it to the table, without asking us first and should be telling us about the charge before we pay, but the cashier did not tell us. The person said it would be on our receipt before we paid. I said we did not get a receipt until after the food was paid for, so there was no way we would have seen it. The person on the phone hung up on us.
