Burg & Barrel 151st Street

I think I found my burger place! Good food and attentive & genuine service. The Buffalo chicken wings were perfect, not too spicy not too bland. Wish the celery sticks were in a better condition though. The burger was good, can't wait to try other stuff on the menu. Awesome selection of rotating beer on tap and cans.

Review №2

Great little place on 151st street. Nice patio dining and a big, airy interior too. Love the unique/upscale burger and sandwich options. Well worth a visit on game day too, with lots of TVs and beer choices.

Review №3

More than friendly staff, food was tasty and ready fast. If you want a good, high-end burger this is it. Thank you

Review №4

Very cool environment to eat and the food is fantastic. Ranch fries and the truffle aioli are very tasty, also Allen is the coolest waiter on the planet. Really cool dude and a great waiter. Highly recommend!

Review №5

Burger was pretty good (classic), the other ones were very messy to eat with your hands, had to use the fork. Service was very good/quick and very friendly. The fries were not the best fries, had too much skin on them and not crispy enough. Would recommend this place to a friend.

Review №6

Very quaint, hidden gem. We stopped in for dinner and drinks. Great menu selection and their fries are really good!

Review №7

Good food. Reasonable prices. You need a scan app on your phone to see menu - no paper menus.

Review №8

My wife's salad was great, my burger was overcooked but tasty, that wasn't the problem. Our waitress didn't seem to think that food running was part of her job. We sat right in from of the kitchen and watched our food sit for 15 minutes. She walked in and out and never grabbed a plate. The bartender finally started running food. Our dinner took well over an hour, the kitchen did their job . I might try them again, but if I got seated in her section, I'd just leave.

Review №9

Very uniquely crafted Burgers, amazing hand battered Onion Rings and an amazing selection of IPA's around...reasonably priced, cozy yet trendy atmosphere, a great experience...I look forward to returning soon.

Review №10

Diablo burger was great. Pork tender looked awful good but didn't try.

Review №11

Had a great dinner tonight. Delicious burgers, onion rings, & fries. Definitely going back!

Review №12

A fantastic place to enjoy patio dining. Our food was delicious and our waiter took great care of us.

Review №13

Wowza! Can't believe I haven't seen this place yet. Great food and a ton of awesome taps.

Review №14

Food is pretty good and service a bit spaced out (like a kid busy with something else)Price is so so but im still looking for the incentive to come back and the reward program well......... just dont bother.I will go back again so maybe then we can talk about making it a 4 star ...

Review №15

Excellent burger! Loved the beer selection as well as the whiskey options.

Review №16

Really enjoyed happy hour here. Plenty of beers on tap and tasty appetizers to snack on.

Review №17

Awesome burger, awesome beer selection! Awesome place!

Review №18

Food was great burgers were on another level better than expected appetizer loaded fries great thanks BURG&BARREL

Review №19

We ordered carry out. Food was fantastic. Best burgers and onions rings in town!

Review №20

This was our first time in, and we were very impressed with the pricing and speed of service. My husband and I split the cowboy burger and it was EXCELLENT. I have no idea where they're getting their buns, but they've definitely found a gem of a supplier- the bun was amazing and really complimented the other great flavors. I took off a star for their fries and the starter we tried- the fries were pretty dang bland, and the BB dip was essentially just ground beef and velveeta- nothing to write home about. But we'll still be back!

Review №21

It was great food, will be back.

Review №22

Great food, beer, and waitress. Would have been 5 stars if the happy hour wasn't so deceitful for Friday nights. Usually, a happy hour is some sort of deal. The flight of beer is advertised in the happy hour between 2-6PM, but you you are just paying for four 6oz beers at menu price. I mentioned it to the waitress and she agreed that it shouldn't be like that. I'd probably go back, but not for happy hour.

Review №23

Great food but can get crowded fast if you want a table call ahead.

Review №24

Great selection of beers and rotating drafts. Delicious burgers, and so far we have had great service each time, after two separate meals and one happy hour!

Review №25

The wait can be a little long, but their system is great at keeping you updated. Worth the wait - great food and drinks.

Review №26

I ordered a burger and asked for it to be cooked medium. When I received it, it was cooked well done and did not taste well at all. Everything else was fine, just wondering why they ask how you want it prepared if it'll be well done anyways.

Review №27

Superb Whiskey Burger. Excellent Chicken BLT with nice, thin, tomato wrap. We'll be back, especially since the place is a mile away from home.

Review №28

Good food, good beer selection. Appetizers we've had are all great. Burgers are good, but just not quite as good as their description makes you want them to be.

Review №29

It was a Sunday evening(6pm) and the service was fast and professional. It was quiet. I like the location and the ambiance. Sports bar look and feel, but nice dining place. And the food was good. Nice beer selection.

Review №30

Great little pub gem in Leawood at 151st and Nall. Nice space... good food... great beer selection.

Review №31

First visit. Great burgers, fries, tots and AAAmazing onion rings. Service

Review №32

We usually order to go here. The actual restaurant is too loud. I prefer the one in Overland Park because of the noise level, but the people are nice and the food is good.

Review №33

Great food, atmosphere

Review №34

If you like craft beer and good food. they nailed it.

Review №35

Great food and nice staff

Review №36

Went to this location of Burg & Barrel today. My husband and I were both pleased with our selections. He had the cajun chicken wings, and I had the southwest chicken salad. Nice sized portions.

Review №37

Had a flight and pretzels and they were great. We'll be back to check out some other stuff

Review №38

Delicious fried chicken salad and super, super friendly staff

Review №39

Superb burgers and a great beer selection. The atmosphere works for the family and the servers are always pleasant.

Review №40

Great food. Service was excellent. Patio very comfy and bug free!

Review №41

It was great! I had the the Spicy Avacado and Cajun fries for a perfect heat. Great microbrew selections from a over. Highly recommended.

Review №42

Pretzel sticks are dynamite. Nice place with good food and premium beers.

Review №43

Service was great as well as the food!

Review №44

Great food, great atmosphere ans awesome service!!

Review №45

Very good food, but buns are a little big

Review №46

Food is great and service is good too. Pretzels and avocado BLT are amazing!

Review №47

Great bar seating and burgers

Review №48

Tonight was by far our worst experience at Burg & Barrel. Waited about 25 minutes from when the order went in to get our drinks (2 beers) and appetizer (queso was not even warm by the time it got to the table and had a very thick top layer that had started to turn back into a solid). Food came out about 10 minutes after that - not bad - but my wife's had a long black string on top of her burger. She ate less than half. All of that would have been bad enough but after our food came out my beer was gone and we didn't see our waitress again for over 25 minutes. My food was gone, my wife lost her appetite, and despite my continued thirst we asked for the check and left. This has been one of our absolute favorite places but after tonight we will drive a little further and pay a little more to go down the street to BRGR.

Review №49

Food was good, place is clean, one seat restrooms not good idea in a bar.

Review №50

Tried 2 apps ( goat cheese balls, loaded spuds) bourbon glaze burger and chicken strips. Couldn't have been happier. Fast and hot, good service throughout, and a beer selection that'll force ya back just to try the ones you couldn't get to.

Review №51

This is the newest location of Burg & Barrel. I like the feel of the one on 75th & Metcalf, better. Also, this location is pretty small. It's a go-to, though, for anyone who likes a good burger. They also have good pretzels for an appetizer, and soft shell crab is also of note, since you don't find that in too many places.

Review №52

Our waitress was okay initially, there were 4 of us so the ticket was split by couple. I gave her a 50 and when she came back I was expecting the ticket book to have my change in it. But when I opened it I had someone else's ticket. I tried to tell her but she thought I was asking about my change. She assumed that I was not wanting any. She said, "it's only 11 dollars." I told her that she gave me someone else's ticket and that they might want it. She was so rude. We won't go back there.

Review №53

Great food, drinks, and atmosphere.

Review №54

Good place to watch the Chiefs and good food.

Review №55

Fairly good food. The price for the food felt a bit high however.Burgers were cooked properly. Wasn't expecting a tater tots appetizer bowl for 10$ though...

Review №56

Great service. Nice to place sample local/national micro brews.

Review №57

Good food. Really loud. Eager staff

Review №58

It was a Sunday Funday day!!! love being able to just be there and hang out and nobody rushing us and have great service!! Food was delicious

Review №59

Great food. Excellent service!

Review №60

Great atmosphere. Love the PB&E burger!

Review №61

Good food nice atmosphere

Review №62

They had a great selection of beers, quick and friendly service, and good apps. Will definitely return for a burger next time!

Review №63

Cool atmosphere and good food!

Review №64

Been to this new local Burger and Brew place in South JoCo four times now. The rating is probably charitable as I am hoping they will be successful Nice addition to the local options. Last trip was a bit off as staffing was short and service suffered a bit. Food is just about average for bar food. Was hoping for more from reviews of their other location. Hope they keep the food good (or improve it) as it is a nice location and am sure the community will support it if they deliver a decent restaurant experience. Great beer selection!

Review №65

Great burgers! Great beer! Daughter said they have the best chicken tenders.

Review №66

The ambiance and service we're both great. The food was just ok. I had the burger and fries and the burger was ok but very greasy. The bottom bunk soaked up the grease and became soggy. The onion rings were delicious, but again greasy. I will give it another shot and try ordering something else.

Review №67

Great food and selection of beers on tap.

Review №68

Lots of Beer on draft selections. The burgers were awesome, but the fries were greasy and not crispy at all. That was disappointing

Review №69

Service excellent food yummy!

Review №70

Food is amazing and the staff is very friendly!!

Review №71

Weve been going to Burg and Barrel, for a number of years, since they opened the 75th street place. Always great food, great service and great beer. It doesnt matter which location you go to. Its one of the best kept Overland Park secrets.

Review №72

Online order said it would be ready at a specific time. Got there and waited 40 extra minutes.

Review №73

Ordered the Smokehouse burger and I was not really impressed. Service was good and the staff was very friendly.

Review №74

Best burgers in town

Review №75

Great food and happy hour. I just wish they could extend their happy hour till 7:00!

Review №76

Great place. So glad it's near our neighborhood. Friendly watestaff and the buffalo chicken sandwich is fantastic.

Review №77

Review №78

Always good!! Burgers top-notch but don't forget the awesome salads and wraps...

Review №79

Foodie bar food with an excellent beer list. Great lunch service.

Review №80

We heard it was "The Best Burger in Town",,,,LOLOLOLOL Not hardly, and not even close. We tried the new joint at 151th street today. Order to simple burgers and Bloody Marys. BloodyMarys were over kill in dressing with no vodka to notice. I ordered one burger 3 times extra well, and it came back med rare. Burgers were formed and obviously premade. Had to send one back. Mine was done med well. tasted like a hamburger. No better or worse than anyplace near buy, but more expensive. Fries came with this $12. burger, or should I call them nibblets? The size of one finger digit and curled. But then maybe I was given the scaps? Please don't waste your money or time here. Anywhere is better, less 20% tip.Nasty~

Review №81

Great burgers, good beer selection

Review №82

Nice local feel, decent food and good beer selection.

Review №83

Food came out quickly and was good. I had the chopped salad and the portion size was large.

Review №84 is good...better hot...service

Review №85

Such a great staff and good environment

Review №86

Good service Freindly staff.

Review №87

I've tried this place 3 separate times as it is very close to our house and have been with others who wanted to try, each time AND I really wanted to like it based on the location. The food is not good. I've tried their salmon sandwich, chicken tenders and a salad. The salmon was tiny and dry and had a bad flavor, the chicken was extremely greasy (where you walk away not feeling great after eating it) and the salad was just yuck. The food is overpriced, you are nickel and dimed for anything "extra" you order (e.g. side of dressing). I may be able to overlook this if the food was at least decent but it isn't. I cant understand how this place has a 4 star rating. I will not return.

Review №88

Great atmosphere and the food was soooooo good.

Review №89

Pretty standard fare. Had the “Bourbon Glaze” which had neither Bourbon or Glaze on it (I was expecting a sweetish twang to it), my wife had the Spicey Avocado, kinda disappointing that a quarter of a manky avocado was just dumped on the top. The spicey Mayo was ok but heavy on the cilantro. I mean it was OK, nothing special tho although the Long Island‘s and service were good. Table proximity was a slight issue, we couldn't get a word in sideways ... on our own table.

Review №90

The buffalo bird is a must try!

Review №91

Veggie Wrap add fresh jalapenos. Kinda loud but there is outdoor seating too.

Review №92

Descent restaurant burger.

Review №93

Fun atmosphere, good food, good service. Very loud.

Review №99

Fantastic barbecue chicken salad!

Review №100

So, I've been here twice since they opened now. First time was for drinks and an appetizer at the bar w a coworker. Second time was with my father in law for drinks. We sat at a table, but just only had a few beers. Both times, the service has been solid. The bartender and the server checked on us several times during both visits, and we never “wanted” for anything while we were there. The only food I've eaten there were the onion rings. They are a tempura style onion ring, with a traditional ring sauce...which seems to be a bbq aioli style dipping sauce. I enjoyed them, and the portion was HUGE.I've seen several negative reviews about the food and service; I encourage everyone to remember that this is a new restaurant, and the team is still learning how to be great. I encourage you to be patient, give them feedback, and go back several times before making a decision. I've been a part of several new restaurant openings, and there are always hiccups.I'm looking forward to my next visit, and to actually dining the next time. This restaurant is 3 minutes from my home, so I'm rooting for them make it. Keep at it guys, you're off to a great start!!!
