Visiting the area for my husbands birthday. My sister in law, who lives in the area, suggested Carolina Roadhouse. I called to make a reservation for 8/5 @ 6:30 for 2 people. They took my name and phone number. When we arrived the young women at the door asked for my phone number again because they "lost it". She also told us our reservation was moved to 7:15. Really, you can move a reservation? So why do you have people make reservations? We waited, after all it was a birthday celebration. At 7:15 my husband spoke to the women at the door again who said "your reservation for 4 people is at 7:15" he then asked to speak with a manager who told him we could eat at the bar. This was not the dinner I had hoped for for his birthday. The bar staff was good, and the food was ok but disappointing. I would hope you would look at your reservation procedures and how you seat people . To top this off, after posting this, my daughter tells us she called the restaurant wanting to buy her Dad a drink or dessert for a surprise. She was first told they could not find the reservation, then when they did she was told we were still waiting. When she called me we had eaten and leaving. She was also disappointed. I know this is a tough time, procedures have changed, you may be short handed but you need to make your customers visit to your restaurant a good experience.
