Love, Lydia Bakery & Cafe

It's our favorite coffee shop in town! Great coffee and atmosphere. They have really Tasty baked goods. Both indoor and outdoor seatings are nice.

Review №2

Love Lydia Bakery is overpriced (paid $19 for two mini muffins and two medium sized coffees). The service was also awful. Waited over 15 minutes for two coffees and the mini muffins. The staff saw us waiting outside in 90 degree heat with a dog and prioritized people that were ordering food. They didn't even start on my coffee until 13 minutes into our wait.Wouldn't recommend to anyone that's looking for a decent cup of coffee or breakfast.

Review №3

My husband and I decided today was the day to try all the coffee shops in town we haven't tried yet despite living here. So I hereby award Love Lydia the best coffee and pastries!! Our last stop and most impressed! Dig the vibe, dig the staff, dig the food and beverage thanks guys!! I highly recommend it :D

Dateline 4 Oct 2018Went there today with my wife and 96 year old Mother in Law to celebrate a wedding anniversary with a sweet treat. Great place with a nice outdoor patio. Our mini chocolate cake was very tasty and the perfect size for three. If your near the Harp or Greenfield Lake Park, you need to check out Lydia's Bakery. She'll be the one in the kitchen pushing out some awesome deserts.

There is a reason the word "love" is in the name of this business. It truly is a gesture of love. Love, Lydia Bakery & Cafe is filled with delicious food and baked goods and staffed by lovely people. It's a true Wilmington gem!

Review №6

Three words: pecan sticky bun. This thing is a game changer. Awesome coffee shop/bakery!!!

Review №7

So good and a very good spot to sit and relax and enjoy the spring weather, they are also a real personable and sweet staff!

Review №8

Absolutely a fantastic little cafe! What a charming place and staff! The avocado toast is the best, and their matcha tea lemonade is delicious. We will be back again and again!

Review №9

Amazing food, coffee and people! My favorite Saturday morning spot in Wilmington.

Review №10

Super cute place. Cozy and relaxing. And did I mention it smells LOVELY!?!

Review №11

The staff is very friendly and the coffee is fantastic. Beautiful coffee tree in every cup! Delicious baked goods and a cute venue.

Review №12

The food is really good but priced 50% above what it's worth. The cold brew coffee is frequently stored in plastic containers that once stored chai tea and you can taste it.

Review №13

Enjoyed a gluten free banana bread cake with chamomile tea. Really enjoyed. Thanks.

Review №14

Great coffee, food and a lovely staff. A coffee shop worth going out of the way to try.

Review №15

Cozy light atmosphere and fresh rotating cafe goodies. Located across from Greenfeild lake, the south front district has needed a good coffee shop and now we've got it!

Review №16

Wonderful baked goods with lots of variety; coffee is great; and they have local panacea kombucha on tap which is wonderful!

Review №17

Had a tasty lunch with my granddaughter here. The quiche and avocado toast were excellent.

Review №18

Very nice coffee shop in my favorite area (soon to be neighborhood) in Wilmington. The coffee was strong yet flavorful and while I did not have any baked goods, the did look tempting. Very close to Satellite, the Harp and South Front apartments.

Review №19

The cold brew coffee is the absolute best in Wilmington. Definitely the best I've ever had! Coffee cake, brownie, and key lime bar totally scrumptious. Awesome little spot.

Review №20

I have had a great experience every time I come here. The owner is beyond lovely and her staff is incredibly kind and hospitable. Great atmosphere, killer coffee, and the only place I'm willing to pay for avocado toast.

Review №21

My favorite way to start the day—Best cappuccino and sweets in town! ️

Review №22

Not really too interesting. Coffee was really awful, which is unforgivable at a bakery, especially with so many great local-ish sources for beans. Bakery was forgivable, I guess. There seemed to be a 40/60 split of “gluten free” options, which is... mostly a do over. Nicely refurbished space, but really nothing to recommend it. Hard to reach, expensive and, well... gluten free options. Right.

Review №23

Love you Lydia! Best flourless brownie I've ever had.

Review №24

Coffee was ok and they dont have much food, didn't have what Facebook stated...no breakfast tacos, no gouda, no pecan rolls, I wasn't impressed

Review №25

Very beautiful space with delicious handmade food and caffeinated drinks

Review №26

Whoever does the majority of the baking is a God. Everything is wonderful and never a disappointment

Review №27

Delicious coffee and wonderful food. I've sampled their baked goods and breakfast sandwiches and everything is so good!

Review №28

The coffee here is okay, the food wasn't very good. My experience wasn't very good. I came here with a friend and we placed our order, but they only gave us half our order, I guess they thought we were going to share a dirty chai latte and a cinnamon bun? Anyway, the place was not very inviting, nor was it organized, the employees were running around and everyone seemed confused about everything. After getting my dirty chai, it had a very distinct taste, it was overwhelming, but was not good. The cinnamon bun was really dry and not very warm. Not a fan, will probably never go here again.

Made it to Love, Lydia this morning after anticipating its opening for months. The cafe's blend of modern and southern rustic styles has a charm that makes you feel at home as soon as you enter. Lydia's wide range of pastries (even on opening day) are each better than the next and will likely leave you happily ordering more than you planned to. Finally, expertly roasted coffee available in styles from the classics (house blend drip or espresso) to the exotic (Vietnamese iced), provide the artisan coffee experience with none of the pretentiousness. Love, Lydia will definitely be a regular stop for me.

Review №30

Such a great place to join the neighborhood. It is quite peaceful sitting in a rocking chair on their porch. The coffee is great - not bitter or too strong - and the staff is genuinely happy to be at work. Cheers to a good selection of baked goods and a simple, non-overwhelming, beverage menu. Refined goodness at its best.

Review №31

Good coffee, loved the avocado toast with egg. Service excellent

Review №32

First time here and I will definitely be back. Very quite and small. The food was delicious. I had a egg and bacon breakfast sandwich and a flourless brownie. It was amazing. Job well done. Check it out for sure.

Review №33

Went here this morning with my 5 year old niece Lydia. For obvious reasons, we had to try it out. Everyone was so friendly! We purchased gluten free banana bread, a pumpkin muffin, and a cinnamon roll; they we're all delicious! My niece also ordered hot chocolate and the barista made a heart on top for her, super cute! The owner, Lydia even came out and introduced herself to my niece and made her day!! We will be back! Thank you for a great experience Love Lydia bakery!

Review №34

Such a cute little Cafe. Gotta come back!

Review №35

Very cozy and trendy little coffee shop. Went with 2 others and everything we ordered was very yummy (coffee cake )!Parking however was frustrating. Literally only 2/3 spots in front (You end up parking around the block and walk) also VERY limited seating inside. Would be perfect for one person and a laptop but trying to sit with friends didn't work and we ended up leaving quickly due to lack of seats :(Will be back in the future when they add some breakfast and lunch items and revisit.

Review №36

Awesome cafe, with a great ambience. The outdoor deck is wonderful to sit on early in the morning. The Coffee and food is delicious!

Review №37

Love this new quaint little spot! The ambiance is soothing and Lydia was so friendly and welcoming! The menu choices cater to vegans and the gluten free crowd. I tried my first ever Oat milk latte. Delish!!

Review №38

Everything we had was great! We tried four different baked goods and enjoyed them all. The coffee cake was our favorite! Well definitely be back!

Review №39

This place initially looks like Chip and Joanna designed it... It's beautiful inside.2nd, it's fully stocked with magic. The baked goods we're amazing but I was also fortunate enough to get a biscuit breakfast sandwich and a cup of soup. Also an amazing Nutella coffee special. :)Everything was better than it needed to be from the decor, to the service, to the food and drink.I'm a huge fan!

Review №40

I ordered my daughter's 16th Birthday cake here and I cannot praise Lydia and her staff enough! The cake was moist, delicious and absolutely beautiful. This will be my new go to for cakes.

Review №41

The avocado and poached egg toast was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed hand-made elderberry lemonade. Wonderful atmosphere!

Review №42

Different and delicious food and drink options. Even the bread was special for the grilled cheese. Just a bit expensive tho at $13 for a half sanny, soup and lemonade. Parking is an issue with only a few spots in front on busy 3rd St.

Review №43

Amazing staff. Delicious food and coffee!

Review №44

Quintessential neighborhood cafe. Great.

Review №45

Sausage gravy and cappuccino was yummy. i came for avacodo toast but you cant get it till wedn but still glad i went!

Review №46

Beautiful Restaurant with AMAZING food. The Cherry hand pie was out of the park.

Review №47

4 days we have been here every morning!Super cute place and everything is really yummy!

Review №48

Love, Lydia's is a great place to stop for bakery goodies, coffee, and breakfast. Indoor and outdoor seating, and convenient to Greenfield Park. Just up the road from Bennie'Big Time Pizza, the Satellite, and the Harp. It's become one of my regular cycling destinations. Currently closed Monday and Tuesday.

Review №49

Overall, great coffee and ambience ! So cute ! However, I there around 8am and bakery items were a little dry “/

Review №50

Best coffee! The sticky buns were amazing, fresh and warm straight from the oven! Warm and inviting atmosphere.

Review №51

Parking issue for sure, enjoy the walk (but maybe you're into that).Overpriced for what you get. It's just another coffee shop. Downtown small biz, so at least stop by and give it a try.

Review №52

Great atmosphere! I recommend ordering the brownie, heated up. Maybe order two because they are just that good!

Review №53

You HAVE to try this place! The avocado toast is special, the tacos are so fresh and delicious, and the desserts are out of this world!!!

Review №54

Great eats and wonderful beverage choices. A bit pricey. The staff is very friendly.

Review №55

Good tasty coffee and breakfast sandwiches! Nice interior, inviting you to spend a few hours! Friendly staff as well!

Review №56

Seemed like a cute place that was highly recommended by a friend, only problem is that there's NO PARKING!!! (Except the 3 or 4 spaces on the street out front, which were occupied) If there is, we couldn't find it. Even the side street next to the business is a no parking zone. We would have loved to try it out, but after losing patience searching for a legal and reasonable parking place, we just decided to go somewhere else. It was raining this morning so we didn't want to get wet for a bite. Maybe we'll try it again sometime, but it seems like parking will always be an issue here, possibly due to the fact that the business is run out of what was previosuly a residence. Those front spots are right on 3rd st, so anyone who parks there needs to be careful anyway considering how people tend to speed on that section of the road.

Review №57

First time coming here was wonderful. The baristas were nice and very helpful. I ended up ordering a Nutella cappuccino for myself and a flat white for my girlfriend and they were both delicious. The Nutella cappuccino was made with an actual dollop of spread on the bottom of the cup. 10/10

Review №58

Great little find... super nice staff, fresh flavorful coffee. We split the coffee cake, and are taking home muffins and focaccia for later...yum!!

Review №59

Recently planned on taking my mother who is visiting to love Lucia. We both read reviews and comments so pretty excited about checking it out. Well we went.. ummm let's say we never made it to the door because there was literally No Parking !!! 3 spaces on street and so I figured around back maybe... no. All I found was Benny's bigtime pizzeria with bold towing letters... so lydia.. what's up with that?

Review №60
