Omg! I'm a big time food and restaurant critic. the food at this place is so authentic and delicious, you must stop by and try it especially the chili con queso cheese dip. I had the botanic platter soooooo good. And the manager Roberto is so awesome and kind and very helpful and makes sure you have everything you need at the table. Excellent service! Good job Roberto and staff.

If I made a list of 20 of my favorite Mexican restaurants in San Antonio, I'd say Camila's is in the top 3, no doubt. I've stopped at a lot of them in SA and Camila's has great food, and seems to be a very clean establishment. They've been the go-to place for breakfast and lunch for my coworkers and I since the Lookout location opened.

Review №3

It was very delicious and filling. I had the beef enchiladas.Service was quick and very friendly. Will go again

Review №4

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. I still can't get passed the nachos. The cheese is so delicious including everything else

Review №5

Went for the first time. Great sweet tea, coffee and food. We will definitely be going back.

Review №6

Food was good but being there the first time the experience was not good. Credit card machine down and having to go get cash at the gas station next door and when I got home and found out they did not put the tortillas in... what a night. The food was not worth all the trouble at all.

Review №7

Queso was very good. Fajitas plentiful but bland and quite tough. The shredded chicken in the enchiladas verde had a very unpleasant taste and smell. The flour tortillas excellent but the corn very think and doughy.

Review №8

The food is good, but the service is terrible. The person who took my order today what's in a very bad mood, and didn't try to hide how annoyed she was by my placing an order. There was also a man at the register, who was equally rude. I will definitely not be back.

Review №9

Clean, good quick service and good food. Tortillas are fresh and warm.

Review №10

Great food. Fresh tortillas. Try anything with the red gravy over it.

Review №11

Definitely a hit. Great food at a reasonable price with a friendly staff to take care of you. Every experience has been awesome. Thank you.

Review №12

We ordered the family fajita meal for takeout. It was delicious! Even have some left for lunch tomorrow. The tortillas were hot and fresh and the beans tasty. Tender fajitas. Go ahead and give them a call. Our food was ready in 15 minutes.

Review №13

Wow! Was a bit skeptical on trying this place but was pleasantly surprised! The chips and Salsa was fresh and I ordered the Cheese enchiladas plate which was excellent. Keep it up!

Review №14

Pretty good enchiladas. Rice and beans were pretty good. I'd go back to try some of there other items too. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us great service.

Review №15

First time eating there nice Environment and cheap prices. I will be to eat again.

Review №16

I liked the food a lot. I was impressed with the serving sizes and the taste. They must use extra-extra large eggs. Lol. My husband and I had juevos rancheros and they were excellent. The ranchero sauce had just the right amount of "kick". My son had a cheeseburger and he ate almost all of it. It was pretty big. I asked for the bacon to be soft, and it was done exactly right. I asked for water with just a very tiny bit of sweet tea. Again, just the way I like it. We will be returning.

Review №17

Excellent food, great service, and they have good salsa!

Review №18

This place is delicious. Everything tastes fresh. The tortillas are some of the best I've had, and the enchiladas verdes are spectacular. I will definitely be coming back

Review №19

Finally! I found the Mexican food I remember from my childhood. You would think in San Antonio you would be able to find great Mexican food everywhere but this is not the case. Camilla's is fantastic! I've tried multiple dishes on the menu and everything is great. The staff is friendly and the restaurant itself reminds me of being home. I wish I could rate it a 6!

Review №20

Food is always good. Especially right now they're being very safe.

Review №21

Good food... No atmosphere to speak of...

Review №22

Great food for on the go or to sit and eat, staff is very friendly.

Review №23

Love eating here. The food it fantastic.

Review №24

Ordered huevos rancheros with bacon with side chips and salsa it was great and tortillas great too!!

Review №25

Amazing food and service. Highly recommend.

Review №26

Very friendly staff & fairly quick service! Need to try it for myself sometime.

Review №27

Breakfast is amazing! My family loves their breakfast tacos. They are filled very well and a couple fills us up through lunch. The chips are homemade and the salsa is fresh and spicy!! My husband ordered the enchiladas with a puffy taco and I ordered to puffy taco plate. Highly recommend both items! Their rice is very good as well as their beans!! Hands down BEST PUFFY TACOS IN TOWN!!! All staff are friendly and accommodating. If you are in this area stop by you will not be disappointed!!

Review №28

The food is so good. Lunch portions are HUGE!! Breakfast is the way to start your day!! Can't wait to start moving into the rest of the menu!!

Review №29

Very good food. Ordered the enchilada plate with carne guisada. The beans were thick, creamy, and full of flavor. The rice was great, and I am pretty picky about it. I really liked theirs! The carne guisada was a little chewy, but very tasty. It was the red kind, which I prefer. The enchiladas had American-style cheese, which I don't like, but I can't fault them for using because so many people do. The chips were hot and fresh. The salsa had cilantro, which I can't stand, but again, that is personal preference and not really something wrong. The tortillas were fresh, and very hot! The bathrooms are cute and extremely clean. Service was good and friendly. Overall, very pleased with the meal, and would be back often if we lived in the area!

Review №30

I first came with my family after church, I herd the place was good from my grandmother. I was a little skeptical at first because I've always bad experiences with restaurants next to a gas station. However I was blown away! The food was excellent, fresh and you get more than your money's worth! Unlike most Tex Mex places where it's mostly fast food I enjoyed my experience with the friendly staff and great food! I highly recommend this place to anyone. I'm probably going to become a regular there. See you soon

Review №31

Not the ideal place to have a restaurant (inside a gas station) At first i couldn't find it at all. But it was worth the trip. The tacos are delicious and reasonable pricing.

Review №32

Small and cozy. Menu has plenty of options including a kids menu. Chips and salsa were good. Service was a little slow but it was a busy Saturday lunch. Had cheese enchiladas which had a great sauce. My wife really liked her quesadilla. Recommended.

Review №33

Beef puffy tacos were great, along with the steak ala mexicana, chicken enchiladas.. good homemade tortillas too...

Review №34

When my cousin recommended this place for dinner, I was kinda shook. It's located in the building of a gas station. To my surprise, the tacos turned out to be delicious. Everything comes out fresh and hot. They have a small dining area with a couple of mounted TVs. Warm, inviting decor. Small kitchen so your food may take a moment longer to get to you, but it's worth the wait. When I need my Tex-Mex breakfast fix, I'll be coming here. Small side note: they make their chicken caldo with huge chunks of chicken breast, which come out dry and tough. Would suggest opting for one of their other soups first.

Review №35

AwesomeNice place and friendly people.

Review №36

The food here is amazing. Turn around is quick and the staff is friendly. I recommend ordering the cheese enchiladas with two fried eggs in top. You won't be disappointed.

Review №37

Food was pretty good.. not gonna lie I had the enchiladas chicken .They need better tortillas . And the service from my waitress was very poor... no smile.. no thank you.. had to ask for my straw. And then my fork !!! Sorry but won't be back for a second visit !!!

Review №38

Excellent. Not our home part of time but being right off the hwy. Food was great!

Review №39

Finally stopped in here for some breakfast tacos last weekend. Was not disappointed, everything we tried was really tasty.

Review №40

This is one my my favorite and go to Mexican food restaurant in the San Antonio area. I live in New Braunfels, and we always look for an excuse to go to CamilasThe only reason I would not give it a 5 star review is the Queso Flameado with Chorizo. Seems like it is full of milk like liquid.

Review №41

Best tacos on that side of town.

Review №42

My husband and I tried this place the other day and were very pleased. I had the cheese enchiladas plate and he had the chilaquiles plate (breakfast menu). Both were very good. Food tasted homemade and the tortillas were fresh. The chips and salsa pre-meal were also good. The salsa was a little spicy for me but my husband loved it and put it on everything. Staff was also very friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Review №43

Some of the best mexicn food I've had.

Review №44

Have looked all over San Antonio for good Mexican food. Everybody serves Tex Mex and that doesn't get it for me. I love authentic Mexican food. This place has it. I ordered chicken enchiladas Verde and let me tell you it was spot-on. I don't get some of the reviews I see here with lack of customer service not enough help an servings being short of satisfactory. There were girls running all over the place waiting on people my food came quickly my waitress was very good. I was served on a very large plate and it was completely full I left stuffed. Yes I can't wait to bring my wife and come back this place rocks.I have been back many times. Still the best around San Antonio.

Review №45

Very good! I ordered some breakfast tacos which were nice and plump and delicious! I also ordered menudo and that was pretty good too! Service was great. I ordered this to-go and my entire order was correct! Will be returning :)

Review №46

First off lemme just say. DO NOT judge this place just because it's connected to a gas station. I dont think it has anything to do with it, it's just the same building.First time here and wow!! Ordered for pickup, food was hot and ready just a couple minutes after I got there. Got home. First off the chips must be made in house, I don't know anywhere you can buy chips like these unless you fry them up yourself. They are amazing. Everything was excellent. Portions are surprisingly large for the price. This will most likely be my go to for Mexican food for a while. Oh and I have to add.. I'm a huuuuge critic on salsa. It has to be just right. This place makes it EXACTLY how I love it. Reminds me of an old place in Sulphur Springs I used to frequent as a kid called Tamale's. Outstanding food all around, i honestly cant say enough good things.

Review №47

Service was great.Food was served HOT. Will definitely be back...

Review №48

The food here is amazing. I didn't know what to expect since it was next to a gas station. The salsa was perfect. The chicken enchiladas, rice and beans were also amazing and delicious. Service was great. Not to crowded. Nice 60" flat screen TV to watch the football game.Really nice mexican music.Highly recommend this place. I felt like I was in Mexico.

Review №49

Great tacos and salsa.

Review №50

Great flavorful food, each item had it's own unique flavor. Friendly staff and quick service. Will be back.

Review №51

Good food, friendly staff, fast service.

Review №52

Food is pretty good. Tortillas are "home made." Service is excellent. We will definitely be happy to return. The only negative thing that I would say is that they could do better on the portions as they seem to be a little small and for me, is the reason for 4 stars.

Review №53

It's always good breakfast... haven't had lunch or dinner yet but I'm sure it's good

Review №54

Have no reservation about this gas station restaurant. Excellent food at a great price. Place is packed all the time. That should say more than this review

Review №55

Friendly service and amazing food!:)

Review №56

I've been to this place a few times and it's been good ,this place serves the food I was looking for.I highly recommend this place.

Review №57

Delicious. They do such a great job here! The food comes out quickly, the menu has good options, and those are some of the best tortillas in town. The breakfast tacos are perfect and you cannot beat the price! Also recently tried the dinner plates and other options. Absolutely amazing.

Review №58

It was great, my food was hot, and tasted great. The service was good, and the price was right on. I'd go back and bring some friends.

Review №59

Great food and service, recommended.

Review №60

Loved, loved, loved, this place! We had the street tacos and they were delicious! They reminded us of the street tacos we got at the taco trucks in Los Angeles. The queso was very good and the salsa was awesome! We will definitely be returning again and again!

Review №61

Delicious Jalisco Style

Review №62

They're efficient, kind, plus the food is remarkably excellent.i plan on being a regular there.

Review №63

Once again best menudo.

Review №64

Chicken puffy tacos are top notch!

Review №65

Good food, convenient location.

Review №66

Meh, I should've gone to taco cabana instead. The meat was rubbery like and the menudo was super salty. Everything was riddled with oil, got diabetes just looking at it.

Review №67

The food was great, the carne asada burrito was huge! The only bad part was the guest seated next to me throwing up all over the floor and on my shoes.

Review №68

Mole chicken enchiladas are the best! Tortilla's excellent!

Review №69

Food and service was great, just like the original location. BUT, they need to wash the dishes better and keep hands clean when preparing drinks. My water glass had refried beans smeared on the side and one of our coffee cups had lipstick on it still. I know it's hard to get lipstick off, but at least check if the dishes are presentable before handing it off to the customer.

Review №70

Caldo de pollo was meh, only thing I've tried there.

Review №71

Great food at a great price. Staff was all smiles, and happy! Will be going back, for sure.

Review №72

We tried this place and we were very pleased. This is one of the best Mexican food restaurants. The service was great. Very clean. We will go back.

Review №73

Amazing food and amazing service! You absolutely must try it - best Mexican restaurant in San Antonio!! Plus it's basically inside a beautiful locally owned convenience store/market which has everything you can possibly want! Grab delicious food at Camila's and grab your snacks/drinks from The Market @ Lookout - you are set for the entire day!

Review №74

Always looking for a good puffy taco and here they were actually pretty good

Review №75

Nice little restaurant. Waitress was nice n friendly and food was good. Had taco salad and was fresh even the tortilla shell was freshly made! Will be eating here again for sure.

Review №76

Great caldo de res.... yummy. flavorful, I'll be back.

Review №77

After reading reviews of their other restaurant we thought we wold give it a try since it is close our house. It was terrible the chips were hard, the food was extremely greasy. A sad waste of money.

Review №78

Quick pick me up if your in the area

Review №79

Great food.

Review №80

Staff is great and always friendly best tacos iv had love the country ranchero

Review №81

The food is good and authentic and their prices are reasonable. Service was very good as well.

Review №82

This place is good the carnita plate is very good

Review №83

Food is average , the service is horrible Do not order any type of caldo or menudo, it takes 30-45 minutes to get your order. I have completed several times all to deff ears. Unfortunately I will not go back to the restaurant.

Review №84

Great service and food was worth it!

Review №85

Authentic! The fajita was super tender and the enchiladas were soft, plus they have homemade flour tortillas.

Review №86

We love, love, love this place! So clean, food is fresh and tasty! Very nice staff. Always busy...but efficient!

Review №87

Wow! Im impressed, I judge them wrong for been next to a gas station. I stopped to eat there, service is great and the food is really tasty! Totally recomend it.

Review №88

Amazing food great people one hell of a spot for breakfast lunch or dinner

Review №89

Very Good Food and friendly staff, will be going back again.

Review №90

I decided to try something new this morning so I stopped by Camila's and ordered breakfast tacos. The employees were very friendly and I waited maybe 5-10 minutes for my order. I will definitely be eating here more often. The food was great and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

Review №91

Excellent food accident service

Review №92

Great food and good service!!

Review №93

This place doesn't seem like it would be great. Northwest side of town, attached to a Shell gas station, but it really does the trick when you are on the way to work and need some authentic breakfast tacos to fuel up. I would not recommend the migas tho.

Review №94

Love the food! Great Service !

Review №95

Really good basic menu and food was really tasty, that's not the problem though. This resistant is super tiny and gets busy at lunchtime. Tables aren't cleaned off quickly as people leave so you either aren't going to get a table for a while or you are going to sit at one with someone else's empty dishes still on it. Waitresses aren't attentive and forgot some items completely and got other things wrong.Would go back but for carry out only.

Review №96

Food is great, service is sketchy

Review №97

Good food for breakfast

Review №98

Good food

Review №99

Delicious food great staff

Review №100

Yummy! My family and I eat here all the time !
