After an hour and a half wait to seat two people, the food better be above average, and this wasn't the case.I was actually amazed at how they pulled this off. Everything we ordered looked like it could've been food found in a commercial. It was all perfectly colored and arranged in the plates. It was cooked perfectly. It just had no flavor at all.We ordered Grippos Crusted Mac and Cheese for a shareable, and even as powerful of a flavor that Grippos should have added, the rest of the watery cheese and noodles, drowned out that flavor. Boring, but how?! Then our meals came.I had the Spicy Chicken and Corn Waffle. Which promised a creole seasoned chicken and maple butter slathered waffle. It smelled wonderfully! The chicken was very cleared covered in seasoning. The only real flavor that came across was the maple. The chicken and waffle were both cooked to perfection, but there wasn't any WOW to it. How did it look like this and taste so meh?! I can't wrap my mind around it.My wife had Chicken Stir fry which again, looked amazing and smelled like an Asian restaurant. I quote her; "It tastes like a Lean Cuisine. . . . I think a Lean Cuisine might taste better actually." She said the chicken tasted like it had been steam-cooked or something because the only flavor it had was a watery chicken flavor. This baffled us being belief.Beautiful onion rings. All crispy and golden crusted. Where's the salt? Where's the flavor? The dipping sauce was the only vessel of flavor. This place relies on the views alone, which are amazing!Annoyingly, they don't do any type of call ahead (other than carry-out) or reservations. We've been twice now in 6 years, and it was a super long wait both times. It's clearly a popular place. Have a reservation system in place.Overall, we might go back at some point, but it is highly unlikely. Beautiful city views can't keep people coming back if the food isn't great. Even if it was great, the wait makes you think twice.
