To whom it may concern,I would like to start by saying that my family and I have resided in the Bloomingdale area (Carol Stream) for over 27 years, and have frequented Jameson's Charhouse regularly since the opening of this location. In all the years of supporting (and recommending) Jameson's, we had never had a negative experience with either the food or the service level. Until Saturday 2/15/2020. Our friends (at our request) had made a Reservation on (Open Table) for four of us to have Dinner. My wife and I each ordered the 16oz Rib-eye Steak dinners. When the food was delivered to the table, it was obviously apparent that my steak was NOT a 16oz Steak but a 10oz Steak. Which was confirmed by an additional waitress in passing. We asked that the Steak be taken back and the order be corrected. After 25 minutes of waiting for the correct order, everyone in our party having now finished their dinners, and being told on three separate occasions by our Waiter, "it will only be another minute", I finally requested that the Order be cancelled, removed from our Bill, and that our Check be provided. We then waited a minimum of 20 minutes for the Check, and questioned the Waiter, who asked two separate times "Has a Manger not come to see you", which we replied "NO". Our Waiter then told us he was unable to provide the Check until a "Manager" addressed us. Finally a young woman stopped by our table to address the Check (she did not share her name), as I told her the story of our experience, she starred at us blank faced, no apology, and said the Meal would be removed from our Bill, and she walked away. On our way out, I asked for the General Managers name, so I could send this correspondence. I had a quiet conversation with Gus, who stated he was the General Manager. I discussed our issues with Gus. Again, with the same results, a blank stare and unapologetic. At this point we were embarrassed by the fact that we encouraged our guests to dine with us at Jameson's. The Service level was absolutely unacceptable. Although I understand you can have a bad experience at any establishment, this particular visit was an embarrassment in our opinion. I would hope that an establishment like Jameson's would expect a more professional response from their "Management" Team, and have more respect for repeat business and the customers who support them.
